CHAPPAR CHIRRI (Ajitgarh):Chief Minister of Punjab, Parkash Singh Badal who took oath for the record fifth time on Wednesday lashed out at Congress-led UPA government at centre. Speaking to reporters after swearing-in ceremony, Badal said that UPA government led by Manmohan Singh was very fragile. He said that UPA government was so vulnerable that it could fall anytime.
He said that UPA government has failed its allies. Badal said that allies of Congress in UPA were feeling suffocated and want to break away from the alliance.
Meanwhile, Sukhbir Singh Badal who took oath as deputy Chief Minister for second time said that swearing-in ceremony was beyond any political and regional barriers. He said that presence of political figures from various political parties should not be seen in political perspective or any new development.
However, presence Praful Patel (NCP), Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and other prominent political figures is bound to give sleepless nights to Congress.
Besides this, West Bengal Chief Minsiter and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee had sent a three-member delegation led by her close aide and Central minister Mukul Roy for swearing in ceremony of Badal cabinet much to the embarrasment of Congress. Mamata’s antics are keeping Congress on the edge amidst talks of floating of a Third Front with the Samajwadi Party, the Left and Chandrababu Naidu's TDP making rounds in political circles.
Even the INLD president Om Parkash Chauthala said that one has to wait and see that how the permutations and combinations change after the swearing-in ceremony of Akhilesh Yadav as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He said that popularity graph of Congress-led UPA was on steady decline as people of country have lost faith in Manmohan Singh headed government at centre.
