GNDU College Verka is all set to start from June 2011

##ad_1##AMRITSAR: Deputy Commissioner Amritsar Kahan Singh Pannu, Vice Chancellor Guru Nanak Dev University Ajaib Singh Brar, along with a team of senior officials, including Dean Colleges and Dean Youth Affairs inspected the ongoing Construction work of  the Verka Government College site here Sunday.
 
After the inspection of construction work, Pannu informed that this co-educational college to be run as GNDU College is being set up at 12 acres of land in Verka and State Govt. has sanctioned a sum of Rs. 15 crore for its construction. 90% of the construction work is complete, added DC.
 
Brar informed that the classes in the new college shall start from July 15, 2011 and the admission process shall commence from first week of June, 2011. He revealed that 500 students shall be admitted during this academic session. The admission shall be open for Bachelor Of Arts (BA), B.Sc. (Non-Med), B.Sc. (Computer Sc.), B.Com(Proffessional) and Bachelor Of Business Administration (BBA).

##ad_2##The prospectus of the University has already mentioned the admission process to the new college. VC informed that the University is in the process of making recruitment of the college faculty and the Principal already stands recruited. The admission office of the college shall become operational from June 1, 2011 in the college campus.
 
They informed that the fee structure of the college shall be at par with the fee structures of other Govt. Colleges, which of course is very nominal.
 
It may be recalled that the residents of Verka village had donated 12 acres of land for setting up Govt. College in the region.
