MOU signed for setting up Engineering College in Bilaspur

BILASPUR: Himachal Pradesh Government has signed an MOU with NTPC for setting up of an Engineering College in Bilaspur in the presence of Smt. Rajwant Sandhu Chief Secretary here today.

Sh. S.K.Dass, Principal Secretary Technical Education signed the MOU on the behalf of State Government and Sh. S.C.Gupta General Manager Kol Dam Hydropower Project signed the same on the behalf of NTPC.

Smt. Rajwant Sandhu said that the engineering college was being set up at a cost of Rs. 100 crore and NTPC was contributing Rs. 37.5 crore for it. She said that the construction work would be started soon.

Sh. Deepak Sanan, Principal Secretary Revenue, Sh. Ajay Tyagi, Principal Secretary Industries, Sh. Manish Garg , Secretary Finance, Sh. J.C.Chauhan, Special Secretary Technical Education were also present on the occasion.
