Our Education system put more burden of books on children than the foreign countries : PSEB Chairman

##ad_1##FATEHGARH SAHIB:Desh Bhagat College of Education, Mandi Gobindgarh organised a one day national seminar on   'Inclusive Education : A Step towards Social Justice'. Dr. Dalbir Singh Dhillon, Chairman, Punjab School Education Board(PSEB) was chief guest of the seminar. Speaking on the occasion,he said that our education system put more burden of books on the children than the foreign countries.

He said that children suffering from physical disabilities should also get higher education like the other children and according to the new law, all the children of the country between the age of 6-14 have the right to compulsory and free education. He said the children have also been given the right to play through the Panchayats. He also talked about strengthening the education system by launching the 'Sarav Sikhya Abhyan'. He emaphsised that the parents should also come forward for the education of their children so that we are able to create a healthy society and our country can progress rapidly.

##ad_2##Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman of Desh  Bhagat Group of Institutes welcomed the chief guest, other guests and delegates. Speaking on the occasion,Dr. Singh said that realizing its social responsibility,  Desh Bhagat Group was organizing a number of free training courses for the less educated youth in order to make them self-dependent. He also  honoured Dr Dalbir Dhillon.
Tejinder Kaur vice chairman of Desh Bhagat Group, Prof. Shalini Gupta,Director General of the Group, Surjeet Patheja, Dr Virinder Singh, Dr.Arjun Singh, Dr. Kuldeep Kaur Longia, Dr. Inderjit Singh Sethi,  Dr.Jasvir Chahal,  Dr. Ramandeep Kaur also expressed their views. During the seminar, different speakers stressed the need for bringing about relevant changes in the education system so that it can become time relevant.

They appealed that proper arrangements should be made for the training of the teachers so that they are able to make their contribution in the development of education. They also emphasized
