CHANDIGARH:Punjab's Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday stated said all land records in the state will be computerized within the next six months.
He said that SAD-BJP combine government had initiated the task of computerizing all land records in its previous term, and 147 of total 160 'Fard (Revenue) Kendras' have become fully operational with the rest 13 to be operational by September this year.
He said that so land record of 11500 villages had been computerized adding that now every villager can ask or get a copy of Fard across the counter at a nominal rate of Rs 20 per page instantly.
Besides this, the minister said that directions had been issued to Financial Commissioner Revenue to start helpline numbers in every district to ensure that any villager can get any error in the land record corrected by reporting on this.
