Punjab Pay Commission amended Pay Grade of Teachers and Nursing staff

CHANDIGARH: The Fifth Punjab Pay Commission has amended  pay scales/grades of Teachers and Nursing staff citing typing mistake in the original report submitted by it to Punjab government. Both the categories would be benefitted from the amended grades.

R.C.Nayyar Secretary Pay Commission in letter written to Punjab government has said that pay grade of teachers and nurses were hiked between Rs.1000 to Rs.1400 respectively. Under the amended grades, the JBT/ETT and B.Ed teachers will get revised grade of 4200 instead of Rs.3000, for craft and vocational teachers the hike will be from Rs.3200 to Rs.4400, center head teacher/Master/Mistress will get Rs. 4600 grade in polace of Rs.3600 given earlier. The pay scale of school lecturer/vocational teacher is revised from Rs.4200 to 5400. For the Principals of Senior Secondary Schools will remain unchaged at Rs.6600.

The Pay Commission has amended the grade of Staff Nurses from Rs.3200 to Rs.4600, Nursing sister/Public Health Nurse(teaching)/Sister Tutor would get Rs.4800 isntead Rs.3800 given earlier. Matron/Assistant Matron/Nursing Superintendent/ District Public Health Nurse grade is

revised from Rs.4200 to Rs.5400. Nursing Superintendent/Principal Tutor's grade is revised from Rs.5400 to Rs.6600. Superintendent Public Health School will get Rs.7400 instead Rs.5700 and grade of deputy director nursing has been revised from Rs.6600 to Rs.7600.

The Commission has also given to PCS (Executive Branch) officers the grade of Rs.6600 after four years service and Rs.7600 after nine years(subject to refresher course) under the dynamic career progression scheme.The condition of refresher course would also apply at the time of getting Rs.8400 grade after 14 years of service.

The Pay Commisison has also given dynamic progression scheme of grades to Medical officers and now Medical officer and dental doctor will get initial grade of Rs.5400, after four eyars Rs.6600, after nine years Rs.7600 with the condition of refresher course and Rs.8600 after 14 years with refresher course.

For Sub Divisional Engineers, Assistant Research Officers, Assistan Electrical Engineers have also been  same grades with the condition of refresher course at the time of getting higher grade.

The Secretary Pay Commission said that after report was submitted, it was realised that some mistakes were left in it and same has been ractified now.
