SBoP MD visits Rural Self Employment Training Institute

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Ashok Nayar, Managing Director, State Bank of Patiala, visited Rural Self Employment Training Institute(R-SETI), Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling Centre(FLCC) along with other offices of State Bank of Patiala i.e. Lead Bank Office and Rural Central Processing Cell here.

During his visit, he e advised the officers posted in these Department  to work with more zeal and enthusiasm. He also had interactions with the students getting training from the Training Institute (R-SETI) and distributed sweets among them.  Nayar advised the Director of the institute to give training to maximum unemployed rural youth so that they can engage themselves in self- employment activities.

 

The Managing Director advised  Counsellor of FLCC to popularize his centre so that the people of the area get maximum benefit of banking services. He also advised the Counsellor to make aware to the people for proper use of bank loans.

Nayar also planted a sapling in the premises of the Lead Bank office. He advised  R.K. Bansal, Lead District Manager(LDM) to maintain a close rapport with the administration and the Financial Institutions and arrange all the meetings as per the time schedule of the RBI. He also advised the LDM to submit the correct data to the Administration so that the correct projections be made for giving banking help to below poverty line people. He said there must be no delay in sanctioning of the sponsored viable cases. R.D. Modi, General Manager of the bank and Ashok Gupta, DGM(D&RB) of State Bank of Patiala was also present on the occasion.

The Managing Director also paid obeisance in the Gurudwara, Fatehgarh Sahib where he was honoured by presenting a saropa.
