Nimbus Defence Academy, Chandigarh, has achieved a remarkable milestone, with 102 of its students qualifying the National Defence Academy (NDA) written examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
The results were declared late Friday night, with approximately 7,500 male and 480 female candidates reportedly qualifying for the next stage of the selection process. The successful candidates will now undergo the five-day Services Selection Board (SSB) interview process, which assesses their suitability for a career in the armed forces.
During a media interaction, Ajay Singh Guleria, Director of Nimbus Defence Academy, said the examination witnessed intense competition this year, with the cutoff reportedly standing at approximately 260 marks out of 900.
He said the question paper was relatively lengthy and difficult this year, which contributed to the lower cutoff. He also highlighted that separate cutoff marks for male and female candidates have been maintained since last year.
Mr. Guleria credited the achievement to the students’ dedication, consistent hard work and the guidance provided by the academy’s faculty. He congratulated all successful candidates and wished them the best for the upcoming SSB interviews.
