Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar, has achieved another milestone by sending 25 cadets to various undergraduate and pre-commissioning training academies of the Indian Armed Forces over the past three months.
With the latest batch, the total number of cadets selected from the institute has reached 175 since the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab Government assumed office.
The selected cadets have secured admission to some of the country's premier defence training institutions, including the National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA).
Among the latest selections, 16 cadets have joined the NDA-156 Course at Khadakwasla for undergraduate training. Another cadet has joined the Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala, while three cadets have been inducted into the TES-55 Course at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secunderabad, and the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, Mhow.
In the graduate entries, one cadet has joined the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, another has joined the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala for the NOC (Ext) Course, and one cadet has entered the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal. Two more cadets have joined the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun.
Congratulating the successful candidates, Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora praised the cadets for their dedication and hard work. He wished them success in their training and urged them to serve the nation with honour and distinction.
MRSAFPI Director Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM (Retd.) also congratulated the selected cadets and revealed that 25 more cadets from the institute are currently undergoing Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews and medical examinations. He said MRSAFPI has emerged as a leading feeder institution for the Indian Armed Forces.
