Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced the appointment of new area incharges for two key Assembly constituencies in Punjab.
According to an official announcement issued on September 17, 2026, Surjit Singh Rakhra has been appointed as the area incharge for the Samana Assembly constituency, while Balbir Singh (Pala Jalalpur) has been given charge of the Shahkot Assembly constituency.
The appointments were jointly announced by AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and Punjab state president Aman Arora.
In an official letter issued by the party, the newly appointed incharges were congratulated on their new responsibilities and wished success in their respective assignments.
The appointments are part of the party's organisational efforts in Punjab, with the new incharges expected to focus on strengthening the party's organisational presence and grassroots-level coordination in their respective constituencies.
