Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has appointed Parminder Singh Goldy as the new constituency in-charge for the Kharar Assembly constituency in Punjab.
Goldy’s appointment comes on the same day as Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Lok Milni program in Kharar. During the event, Goldy was seen sharing the stage with CM Mann, while AAP MP Malvinder Singh Kang was also present.
Kharar is currently represented by Punjabi singer-turned-politician and former Punjab minister Anmol Gagan Mann. Parminder Singh Goldy is presently serving as Chairman of the Punjab Youth Development Board.
He has also been playing an active role in the state government and AAP’s campaign against drugs. In recent days, he organised rallies across Punjab as part of the anti-drug campaign.
Goldy is also considered close to AAP’s central leadership, including Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. His appointment as Kharar constituency in-charge is being seen as an important organisational move by the party in the constituency.
