AAP spokesperson Advocate Bikram Jeet Pasi criticised the rampant drug issues in India and the involvement of opposition leaders in the drug nexus and cornered the BJP over the recent arrest of Punjab BJP leader Satkar Kaur in a drugs case.
Pasi said that under the BJP government, big political powers are involved in the drug trade. Our government in Punjab is taking strong action against drugs, while the BJP-ruled state governments are turning a blind eye. He said that the Akali-BJP government It was they who allowed the drug mafia to gain a foothold in Punjab. The arrest of former Congress MLA and current BJP leader Satkar Kaur has once again exposed all these parties.
Pasi said that the drug supply system operates at the state level. He particularly highlighted Gujarat, where drugs worth billions of rupees have been recovered in the last few years. He said that Gujarat is today the hub of drug trafficking. It has been formed and BJP has been ruling Gujarat for almost 30 years.
