Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified its preparations for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections and is set to launch a statewide door-to-door outreach campaign from September 20 to showcase the achievements of the Bhagwant Mann-led government.
Announcing the campaign, senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said the party would directly engage with people across Punjab and present the work carried out by the state government during its four-and-a-half-year tenure. He said party workers, elected representatives and senior leaders would visit households across the state to inform residents about government initiatives and welfare schemes.
Sisodia claimed that the Bhagwant Mann government had fulfilled the promises and guarantees made to the people of Punjab and had earned their trust through its governance. He said the campaign would help communicate the government's work at the grassroots level and strengthen the party's connect with voters.
Highlighting the government's efforts against drug abuse, Sisodia said the administration had taken action on multiple fronts to protect Punjab's youth and provide them with better opportunities. He claimed that the government had left no stone unturned in its fight against drugs and remained focused on securing the future of young people.
The AAP leader also criticized previous governments, alleging that they were responsible for the spread of the drug menace in the state. He said the Mann government had made tackling the issue a top priority.
According to Sisodia, the campaign will go beyond political rallies and public meetings, with party representatives reaching people's homes and engaging directly with youth, traders, women and other sections of society. The interactions will focus on informing citizens about government policies while also gathering feedback from the public.
Education reforms will be another key focus of the outreach drive. Sisodia said government schools in Punjab had witnessed significant improvements, with modern facilities being introduced and the quality of education enhanced. He claimed that these changes had increased confidence among parents in the public education system.
AAP leaders believe the campaign will serve as an important platform to take the government's achievements to the booth and household level across Punjab. The party has assigned an active role to both grassroots workers and senior leaders in the exercise.
With the initiative, AAP aims to strengthen its organizational presence and expand public outreach ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections while highlighting the work done by the Bhagwant Mann government over the past four-and-a-half years.
