State Election Commissioner hold meeting with representatives of political parties

Haryana SEC Dhanpat Singh, said that all political parties and candidates must strictly adhere to the Model Code of Conduct during the Municipal elections. He stressed the importance of cooperation from all political parties and candidates to ensure that the elections are conducted in a fair, peaceful, and transparent manner.
Dhanpat Singh made these remarks during a meeting with representatives of political parties at Nirvachan Sadan in Panchkula on Monday. Dhanpat Singh stated that no political party or candidate should engage in activities that create division, hatred, or tension among different communities, castes, or religions. He emphasized that caste or communal appeals should not be made to secure votes. Additionally, he urged that no candidate or party should use religious places, such as temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, or other places of worship, for election campaigns.
