Amendment in Three Services of Animal Husbandry & Dairy Department under Right to Service Act

Two New Services Also Notified

The Haryana Government has amended the notification dated December 31, 2021, issued by the Administrative Reforms Department under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014. With the objective of making the services of the Animal Husbandry & Dairy Department more effective, transparent, and time-bound, three previously notified services have been revised and two new services have been added. A notification to this effect has been issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi.

Under the revised provisions, services related to the conservation and development of indigenous livestock (desi cows) and the Murrah Development Scheme will now be provided within 180 days. In addition, a time limit of 100 days has been fixed for the establishment of high-tech dairy units and for schemes aimed at providing employment to Scheduled Caste beneficiaries through the setting up of livestock units.

As per the notification, two new services have also been added. These include a general scheme for providing employment through the establishment of pig, sheep, and goat units, for which a time limit of 100 days has been prescribed, and a scheme for the establishment of backyard poultry units, for which a time limit of 60 days has been fixed. All services will be subject to the availability of targets.

For these services, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Animal Husbandry & Dairy of the concerned district has been designated as the competent authority. The Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry & Dairy / Intensive Livestock Development Project has been appointed as the First Grievance Redressal Officer, while at the Directorate level, the Credit Planning Officer / Joint Director (Planning) has been designated as the Appellate Authority.
