CHANDIGARH: Several people were injured in a blast at a restaurant in the Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in Punjab`s holy city of Amritsar.The blast started the talk that if may have been a terror attack and caused wide spread panic the police, however, said it was not a terror attack, but an accident.
Punjab Police posted a tweet early morning telling people not to panic and that an investigation was being conducted to find the cause. But before the tweet there was panic as the blast happend at a busy Heritage street at too on a week end near Darbar Sahib. Nealy every one present weather the be devotees or locals presumed the blast a terror act.
A police official said that the 'blast' apparently occurred in a chimney of a restaurant at the Heritage Street. He said further investigations were under way.
