A private school bus carrying around 35 students caught fire near Burger King on Bibi Wala Road in Bathinda on Saturday. All the children were safely evacuated with the help of local residents, and no injuries or casualties were reported.

The bus belonged to Silver Oaks School. According to driver Babbu Nand Lal, he was taking the students home after school when smoke suddenly began emerging from the front section of the bus. He immediately pulled the vehicle over and stopped it.

The driver, along with the children, broke some of the bus windows to facilitate their evacuation. People from nearby shops also rushed to help and used fire extinguishers in an attempt to control the flames.
