Addressing a group of traders and businessmen during the 'Sarkar-Sannatkar Milni' program organized by the Punjab Government in Amritsar, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that Bhagwant Mann is the best Chief Minister in the history of Punjab.
Kejriwal said that Punjab has many great leaders. Some big names were Chief Ministers of the state, but Bhagwant Mann has proved with his actions that he is the best Chief Minister of Punjab till date. He said that earlier Chief Ministers used to go out to visit flood affected areas in helicopters, but during the recent floods in Punjab, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann went out in a boat instead of a helicopter to know the condition of the people and helped people.
Kejriwal said that before the formation of the government, many people used to say that Bhagwant Mann is a comedian. A government cannot function well under his leadership. But after becoming the Chief Minister, he took many historic decisions which solved the major problems of Punjab. The Mann government implemented the 'Green Stamp Paper' system to promote industry and trade. This is the best single window system in the country. There is no such system anywhere else in the entire country.
He said that even before the formation of our government in Delhi, all the opposition parties used to make fun of us, but in Delhi we have been running the government brilliantly for the last eight and a half years. There was a revolution in the electricity sector, there was a revolution in the fields of education and health in Delhi. Impressed by that, the people of Punjab also voted for us and formed our government. Now, like Delhi, in Punjab too the AAP government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is bringing a revolution in the fields of electricity, education and health.
He said that after the formation of the AAP government, corruption has completely ended in Punjab. During previous governments, corruption money used to flow from bottom to top, but now this system was broken. There are certainly some corrupt people at the lower levels, but they too are now afraid to commit corruption.
Due to the end of corruption, industries are growing rapidly in Punjab. During the last one and a half years, more than three lakh micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were registered in Punjab. Apart from this, new investments worth thousands of crores came to Punjab.
Referring to the traffic problem solution, Kejriwal said that due to the efficient management of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the traffic problem has ended in many big cities of Punjab including Amritsar, due to which people get a lot of convenience in commuting. He said that there is a traffic problem in Delhi also. Now we will implement Punjab's formula to end the traffic problem in Delhi.
