SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal specially visited Patiala to welcome the Chandumajra family back into the party. He warmly greeted the returning leaders and their supporters at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Sukhbir Singh Badal said the return of Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra and his associates would give a significant boost to the Shiromani Akali Dal.
He said the Chandumajra family had returned to its original political home, adding that their rejoining would further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
The development is being seen as an important political boost for the SAD as it seeks to consolidate its organisational strength in Punjab.
