Punjab Newsline, Jalandhar, December 10-
Ahead of the municipal corporation elections in Jalandhar, the AAP has received another significant boost, while the Congress and BJP have suffered a major setback. On Tuesday, several local leaders, including former councilors from both parties, joined the Aam Aadmi Party.
Arun Arora, a former Congress councilor from Ward No. 33, and Vineet Dhir, a former BJP councilor from Ward No. 62, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Along with them, BJP leaders Amit Luthra, Mohit Seth, and Kuljeet Happy from Ward No. 55 also left the BJP to join AAP.
AAP Punjab President Aman Arora formally inducted all these leaders into the party in the presence of Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat, AAP leader Deepak Bali, and Rajwinder Kaur Thiara, and extended a warm welcome to the new members.
Welcoming the new leaders, Aman Arora said that the overwhelming support the Aam Aadmi Party is receiving from all sections of society in Jalandhar, along with the continuous influx of leaders from other parties into AAP, clearly indicates that Jalandhar’s next mayor will undoubtedly be from the Aam Aadmi Party.
