Under the Haryana Vision-2047 plan, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed the Transport Department to expand bus connectivity across the state, ensuring that every village and city is linked with efficient public transport.
Chairing a review meeting, the CM said priority will be given to reducing dependence on private vehicles by improving government bus services. He instructed officials to prepare a new route plan and revise existing policies if required.
CM Saini also announced plans to revive and expand city bus services in major urban areas, connecting hospitals, colleges, industrial hubs, and metro stations. He said Haryana Roadways buses will soon have real-time tracking systems and mobile app support for passengers.
For women’s safety, buses will be equipped with CCTV cameras and panic buttons linked to control rooms.
The government will also promote electric buses, with 10 new e-bus depots planned in the next year along with charging and solar facilities.
He further warned that strict action will be taken against vehicles without valid PUC certificates, including denial of fuel at petrol pumps through number plate scanning systems.
