A 42-year-old businessman was brutally murdered in Haryana's Panchkula on Friday after a group of assailants allegedly dragged him out of his vehicle and attacked him with sticks and knives in a busy market area.

The incident took place in the main market of Pinjore, where the victim, identified as Jitesh Manocha, was sitting inside his black Scorpio SUV. According to preliminary information, five to six youths arrived at the spot, forcibly pulled him out of the vehicle, and launched a violent assault.

The attackers allegedly beat Manocha with sticks before stabbing him multiple times, leaving him critically injured. He succumbed to his injuries during the attack.

Manocha owned a clothing store named "Manocha Cloth House" in the main market and was a well-known local trader.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the market, providing crucial evidence for investigators. The footage reportedly shows the assailants attacking the businessman in public before fleeing the scene.

Upon receiving information about the murder, senior police officials, including DCP Crime Amarinder Singh, reached the spot along with forensic and investigation teams. Police have launched a manhunt and are examining CCTV footage to identify and arrest the accused.

The motive behind the killing is yet to be established, and further investigation is underway.
