Cabinet Minister Tarunpreet Singh Sond on Saturday paid floral tributes to Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha on his martyrdom day.
He also paid rich tributes to six more martyrs namely Shaheed Vishnu Ganesh Pingley, Shaheed Jagat Singh, Shaheed Harnam Singh Sialkoti, Shaheed Bakshish Singh, Shaheed Surain Singh (Wadda) and Shaheed Surain Singh (Chhota) who attained martyrdom along with Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha on the same day in first Lahore conspiracy case.
Addressing the gathering during a state-level function to mark the martyrdom day of Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha here today, the Cabinet Minister mentioned that Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha was India's youngest revolutionary, who sacrificed his life for our country at the age of 19. He added that this young martyr had been an inspiration for the young generations since ages to work for their country selflessly.
Sond stated that the great martyr played a pivotal role in emancipating the country from the clutches of foreign imperialism adding that as an active leader of the Gadar party, he worked untiringly to attain freedom first abroad and then within the country.
