A petrol langar scheduled in Chandigarh on Tuesday evening has been postponed due to bad weather and rainfall. The event was scheduled for 5 pm but will now be held on Friday, August 21.

Amritsar-based businessman Rakesh Trehan, popularly known as “Raja Di King,” had announced through a video that free petrol would be distributed at petrol pumps in Sectors 10 and 7.

Under the arrangement, people without vehicles were asked not to attend the event. Owners of two-wheelers and three-wheelers were to receive coupons worth ₹500, while car owners would get coupons worth ₹1,000, which could be used to fill petrol in their vehicles.

Special arrangements had already been made at the petrol pumps for the event.

Rakesh Trehan Has Organised Several Langars

This is not the first time Trehan has organised a unique langar in Chandigarh. Recently, he organised a cash-and-food langar outside the Sanatan Dharma Temple (Shiv Temple) in Sector 8.

During the event, people were given ₹500 cash notes along with McDonald’s burgers and cold drinks.
