Fourteen-year-old Vania Sandhu, daughter of Sandeep Kumar, has made a mark in competitive shooting by winning four bronze medals across state and North Zone-level competitions.

Vania clinched three bronze medals at the Chandigarh State Shooting Championship, competing in three individual categories — ISSF Sub Youth Women, ISSF Youth Women and ISSF Junior Women.

She added another bronze medal to her tally at the CBSE North Zone Shooting Competition, where she finished third in the Under-17 Girls category.

Her performance across multiple categories at a young age reflects her consistency, discipline and growing potential in the sport. The achievement has brought recognition to the young shooter and highlighted her promising journey in competitive shooting.

Vania is training under coach Holinder Singh, who is guiding her technical and competitive development. She also receives meditation training from Navpreet Kaur, helping her work on concentration, mental strength and focus — important aspects of competitive shooting.

With four medals already to her credit, Vania is now looking ahead to further competitions and hopes to continue improving her performance on the shooting range.
