The discussions continued through the afternoon and focused on strengthening the party organisation and preparing its election strategy. Former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa did not attend the meeting as they are currently in Delhi.

Baghel met individually with the party's three working presidents, general secretaries and other organisational leaders. A separate meeting with district Congress presidents was also scheduled to discuss strengthening the party at the booth level and accelerating preparations for the 2027 polls.

After the meeting, Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring said the party is united and fully focused on the upcoming Assembly elections. He said Baghel is interacting personally with leaders to further strengthen the organisation and that the consultation process will continue for the next three to four days.

Punjab Congress Working President Raj Kumar Verka dismissed reports of factionalism, saying the party is working with a clear strategy for the 2027 elections. He added that any differences, if they exist, would be resolved soon and expressed confidence that all Punjab Congress leaders would soon be seen united on one platform to take forward the party's election campaign.
