Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday chaired a high-level review meeting of the state government's 'War Against Drugs' campaign in Bathinda, directing officials to further strengthen the ongoing drive against narcotics across Punjab.
The meeting was attended by Cabinet Minister and AAP Punjab President Aman Arora, while Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs) from all districts participated through video conference.
During the review, the Chief Minister assessed the progress of the anti-drug campaign and instructed district administrations and police officials to make the drive more effective. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts to eliminate the drug menace and ensure strict action against drug traffickers and their networks.
CM Mann also asked officials to maintain close monitoring of the campaign and ensure that enforcement measures are implemented efficiently across all districts. The state government has been conducting the 'War Against Drugs' campaign as part of its efforts to curb drug trafficking and strengthen law enforcement in Punjab.
