Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is set to address an important press conference in Chandigarh at 2:30 PM today. According to sources, the Chief Minister is expected to strongly criticize the Central Government over the recent hike in petrol and diesel prices, the ongoing ED raids, and the SIR-related issue.

CM Mann may also respond to questions raised by the Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib regarding the Punjab government’s proposed law aimed at preventing incidents of sacrilege against Guru Granth Sahib.

This will be Mann’s first press conference in Chandigarh after the completion of the state government’s “Shukrana Yatra.”

Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu intensified his attack on the Aam Aadmi Party and the Punjab Chief Minister on Friday. Bittu alleged that “an entire gang is working to loot Punjab” and claimed that recent ED investigations have exposed several serious matters.

In a sharp statement, Bittu accused associates of Arvind Kejriwal of exploiting Punjab. Political observers believe CM Mann could use today’s press conference to hit back at Bittu and other opposition leaders over the allegations.
