CM takes big decision for Workers of Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board

Directs officers to release immediate funds for Toolkits, Bicycles, and Sewing Machines
Construction Welfare Board Workers to also get Health Benefits similar to ESI, directs officers to formulate New Scheme, CM

CM Nayab Singh, while taking a significant decision in the interest of workers of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Welfare Board, has directed the officers of the Labour Department to immediately release pending funds for toolkits, bicycle schemes, and sewing machines. Besides this, he has also directed the officers to create a new scheme to provide health benefits to construction welfare board workers similar to those of ESI.
The CM gave these directions while chairing a meeting with officers of the Labour Department held here today. Industries and Commerce and Labour Minister Mool Chand Sharma also attended the meeting.
Nayab Singh also directed that pending death claims of workers should be immediately processed to provide financial aid to poor families. He said that the grant given for the marriage of workers' daughters under the board should be provided three days before the marriage to offer financial benefit.
Furthermore, the CM directed the planning of advance lump-sum payments of scholarships for workers' children and the simplification of the entire application process to avoid any difficulties for workers during application.

Financial Assistance of Rs 5 Lakh for Worker’s Family in Case of Death at working site or outside
Nayab Singh directed that in case of a worker's death, the family faces severe distress, therefore the rules of the Mukhyamantri Shramik Suraksha Yojana should be amended to provide Rs 5 lakh financial assistance to the family in case of death at a working site or outside. Currently, the scheme provides Rs 5 lakh for death at the worksite and Rs 2 lakh for death at outside.The CM also directed that workers of the Haryana Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board or their family members seeking traditional skill training be provided courses at Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, with all expenses covered by the board.

Foundation Stone of 100-Bed ESI Hospital in Rohtak to be laid soon
In the meeting, it was informed that all processes, including land identification for the 100-bed ESI hospital in Rohtak, have been completed, and the foundation stone will be laid soon. Additionally, the dispensary established in Panchkula will be inaugurated soon, and ECG facilities will be introduced in 86 ESI dispensaries shortly. Moreover, health checkups under the Nirogi Haryana Scheme will also be conducted for workers whose income exceeds Rs 1.80 lakh or who do not have a PPP card.
