Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini said that, to provide better living conditions for citizens, the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) will develop Sector-14-16, 22 in the Kot Billa Urban Complex in Panchkula and Sector-23 in Pinjore-Kalka as pilot projects in the first phase.
The Chief Minister was responding to questions raised by the opposition during the discussion on the Governor’s Address during the budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on Thursday.
Saini sarcastically remarked that it is a good thing the opposition has now remembered the HSVP. This is the same authority whose foundation was undermined by the Congress government. At that time, farmers were forced to sell their land at 'throwaway prices' by creating fear of land acquisition. This land was supposed to be developed into sectors by the HSVP, but the authority's operations stopped, and it faced losses, shared the Chief Minister.
