In disappointing news for fans of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, his scheduled concert in Delhi on October 30 has been cancelled after the Delhi Police denied permission for the event, citing security concerns.
The concert, part of Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Aura India Tour’, was scheduled to take place at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the national capital. Many fans had already booked tickets for the highly anticipated show.
According to an ANI report, the concert was cancelled after the organisers failed to obtain the necessary security clearance from the police.
In a letter addressed to BookMyShow, the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South District) stated that the organisers’ application, submitted on October 14, 2026, had been reviewed. However, permission to hold the concert on October 30 was denied.
The police cited specific security threats, the ongoing festive season and the need to manage various security and law-and-order responsibilities. The letter also referred to other significant law-and-order concerns while explaining the decision.
The cancellation is likely to disappoint fans who were looking forward to watching the popular singer perform live in Delhi. Further details regarding ticket refunds or alternative arrangements were not mentioned in the information available.
