Dozens of trains operating to and from Delhi have been cancelled ahead of the proposed protest by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in the national capital. The cancellations have triggered discussions over whether the move could affect the movement of protesters to the venue. However, railway authorities have clarified that the cancellations are due to maintenance work, technical blocks and safety-related considerations.
According to the Northern Railway cancellation list, several major premium, superfast and express trains connecting Delhi, New Delhi and Hazrat Nizamuddin will remain cancelled on October 10. Some services have also been cancelled due to the non-availability of train rakes.

Railway authorities have attributed the cancellations to operational and safety-related requirements.
