Villagers claimed that people who complain about drug trafficking are frequently targeted by the alleged traffickers.
SHO Satpal Singh of Kotli Surat Malhi police station said a case had been registered against around 25 accused under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which deals with attempt to murder, along with other relevant provisions.
