Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh, April 8 –
Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini has come down heavily on the opposition over misleading the residents about electricity bills. Addressing a press conference in Hisar on Tuesday, Saini said that when Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda was the Chief Minister, and Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala was the Power Minister, the availability of power supply in the state was in dire condition. Long power cuts used to haunt the people and the electricity was made available for 4 hours only. In contrast, the present government has made significant reforms in the power sector and is ensuring 24-hour electricity supply to citizens, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister said that opposition leaders should introspect their own records before pointing fingers at others.Taking a jibe at Congress leader, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Randeep Singh Surjewala, the Chief Minister said that both the leaders seem to be in a competition to become the leader of the opposition. They are only marking their attendance; they have no connection with the public, he added.
