After delivering the blockbuster hit Chhaava, director Laxman Utekar is set to return with another ambitious project, Eetha. The upcoming film offers a glimpse into Maharashtra’s rich cultural history and is based on the life of celebrated Marathi Lavani and Tamasha performer Vithabai Narayangaonkar.

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor takes on the challenging role of Vithabai, and her transformation has already generated significant buzz among fans and film enthusiasts.
The teaser opens with a performance by the Bhau Gaonkar Tamasha troupe, where a large crowd gathers to watch Eetha perform. However, when she does not appear on stage, audience members begin calling out, “Bring Eethabai.” The scene then shifts backstage, where Eethabai is shown heavily pregnant and going through childbirth on her own.

The teaser of Eetha was initially screened in cinemas alongside Cocktail 2, following which it was leaked online. Clips from the teaser quickly went viral across social media platforms, drawing widespread praise for Shraddha Kapoor’s powerful performance. Responding to the growing excitement, the makers have now officially released the teaser.
As the cries of a newborn are heard, Eethabai expresses concern, saying she cannot step onto the stage without preparing herself. Despite the extraordinary circumstances, she gathers her strength and delivers a commanding performance, showcasing the unwavering dedication that made her a cultural icon.
Shraddha Kapoor appears completely immersed in the character, capturing the resilience, passion, and spirit of the legendary artist.
