Punjab Newsline, Phagwara, December 18-
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday campaigned in Phagwara in support of Aam Aadmi Party candidates for the municipal corporation elections. He held a massive roadshow with party leaders and workers and urged people to elect AAP candidates.
While addressing the people, Mann outlined his development plan for Phagwara and promised to introduce electric buses with modern charging stations and improve the city's sewerage system.
Mann said that local governance impacts the lives of city residents. Hence, better candidates should be chosen who will work for you and address local issues. He urged people to ensure that the mayor of the municipal corporation is also from the Aam Aadmi Party, as the state government is theirs too. "If the mayor is also from AAP, the city's development will double in speed, and our morale will soar," he said.
The Chief Minister highlighted the work done by his government in the last two and a half years, stating that they provided 50,000 government jobs to youth purely on merit without any bribes or recommendations.
