Punjabnewsline, Chandigarh:

Elon Musk had commented that EVMs can be hacked with the help of AI. There are constant political reactions to this. Earlier, former Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar had hit back at Elon Musk's comments on the electronic voting machine and called it a "very big sweeping generalization" without any basis. Elon Musk had said that EVMs should be abolished due to the potential risk of being hacked by AI. Now senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has also given a statement on this.

Elon Musk has also offered to give the SpaceX boss a tutorial demonstrating the robustness of EVMs designed in India. He said that electronic voting machines can be designed and built exactly the way India has done. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi supported Musk's view on the matter and said that "EVMs in India are a 'black box' and no one is allowed to examine them.

On the other hand, BJP IT cell in-charge Amit Malviya challenged the Tesla CEO and also hit back at Rahul Gandhi's remarks. Malviya said that Elon Musk or anyone who thinks they can hack EVMs should contact the Election Commission of India.
