Haryana Energy Minister, Anil Vij conducted a surprise inspection at Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam’s grievance redressal cell in Rohtak today. He also reviewed the process of resolving consumer complaints and directed officers to ensure that all complaints are addressed within the stipulated time.
During his visit to UHBVNL grievance redressal cell in Rohtak, Vij spoke directly with consumers on phone in the presence of officers to check whether their complaints had been resolved. When he found that a complaint had remained unresolved even after 24 hours, he directed the Superintending Engineer (SE) to investigate and take action against the concerned staff.
Vij further directed the SE to review all complaints that had not been resolved within four hours. He directed that an explanation be taken from the concerned staff and a report be submitted to him. Besides this, he directed officers to ensure that electricity poles are not placed in drains, sewers, or roads. If any poles are found in such locations, they must be immediately relocated to appropriate places to avoid inconvenience to consumers.
