A shocking murder case linked to an alleged failed relationship has come to light in Punjab's Mohali, where a young woman was brutally stabbed to death by a colleague inside their workplace.

The victim, identified as Dimple, a resident of Patiala, was working at her desk in a private packers-and-movers company when her co-worker, Harvinder Mann alias Harry, allegedly launched a frenzied knife attack on her. According to preliminary reports, the accused repeatedly stabbed the woman while she was seated at her workstation.

Despite sustaining injuries, Dimple reportedly tried to escape and ran towards the office gate in a bid to save her life. However, the attacker allegedly chased her, caught up with her near the exit, and continued the assault. Witnesses attempted to intervene and rescue the victim, but the accused reportedly kept attacking her.

The horrific incident was captured on CCTV cameras, and footage of the attack has surfaced, sending shockwaves across the region.

Following the assault, both Dimple and the accused were rushed to Fortis Hospital in critical condition. Doctors later declared Dimple dead. Meanwhile, Harvinder Mann remains in a serious condition after allegedly attempting to slit his own throat following the attack.

Police investigations suggest that the victim and the accused had been working together at the private company for nearly three years. During that period, they reportedly developed a close relationship that later turned into a romantic affair. However, the relationship allegedly ended some time ago, after which tensions reportedly grew between the two.

Mohali Police have registered a murder case and launched a detailed investigation into the incident. Authorities are examining CCTV footage and gathering statements from witnesses and family members.

Phase-11 Police Station SHO Aman Baidwan confirmed the woman's death and said her parents have been informed. Their statements will be recorded upon arrival, following which further legal action will be taken.
