Punjab cabinet minister Harbhajan Singh ETO emphasized the importance of cybersecurity in today's digital age, highlighting its impact on public safety and national security.
Speaking at the 'Cyber Crime, Forensics, and Law Workshop' held at Law Bhawan here today, ETO commended the organizers, Truth Labs, Nasdeep Foundation, and Proud Legal, for hosting this workshop on technology-driven crimes and forensic investigation.
Cabinet Minister acknowledged the challenges posed by cyber threats to critical infrastructure, including power grids, water systems, and transportation networks. He assured that the Punjab Government is committed to strengthening cyber resilience by implementing robust cybersecurity frameworks, investing in capacity building, and fostering public-private partnerships.
The Cabinet Minister emphasized the need for a collaborative approach, involving legal experts, technology
specialists, law enforcement agencies, and civil society, to combat cyber threats. The Minister encouraged
the legal professionals to develop expertise in dealing with digital evidence and emerging technologies,
assuring government support for the judiciary and legal fraternity.
