Punjab Newsline, Patiala, May 11-
I came to Patiala as a daughter-in-law while, initially, people showered love upon me as a daughter, and now as a family member. I have a special relationship with every house in the Patiala district. When I meet people during the Lok Sabha election campaign, they say that they have faith only in me and like always, they are all set to give their blessings to me in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The love, affection, and the foremost thing — trust — that the people of Patiala have shown in me is my greatest treasure. These emotional thoughts were shared by the former Minister of State for External Affairs and MP Maharani Preneet Kaur while addressing the public meetings organized in Samana on Saturday.
Preneet Kaur said, "Serving Patiala and Punjab is a sacred duty for me and my family. We have been following the Guru's "Hukum" and fulfilling the promise made by our ancestors. Whenever we had to choose between Punjab and power, be it in 1984 (after Bluestar Operation), in 2004 (the SYL issue, went against the then government), or in 2021 (when Captain Amarinder Singh resigned), we have always chosen Punjab, without any hesitation."
“Every child in Patiala knows that when it comes to Punjab or Patiala, there is only one family that stands for the people, and that family is of none other than Captain Amarinder Singh," she added.
Regarding the Aam Aadmi Party, Maharani Preneet Kaur said, "AAP party has failed to fulfill its promises in 26 months of its tenure. The people of Punjab have a big heart and that is why they gave a chance to the AAP party, but the AAP party could not fulfill any of their expectations and promises made to the people. The last 26 months of the AAP party have been very disappointing. Bhagwant Mann-led Punjab government could not fulfill its promise of giving Rs 1,000 per month to women of the state, which is why all women of Punjab are demanding an account of their Rs 26,000 from the AAP Party and CM Bhagwant Mann."
"From control on illegal mining to procurement of food grains, none of the promises have been fulfilled in Punjab. Punjab's hard-earned money is being looted by the masters of their party, sitting in Delhi, to fulfill their political ambitions. In just 2 years, despite winning a huge mandate, there is a massive anti-incumbency against the sitting MLAs in Patiala Lok Sabha. The people of Punjab have realized that everyone can give a guarantee, but only PM Modi and the BJP party can fulfill them," she concluded.
