Farmers and Kisan Morcha Thank CM Saini for the Hike in Sugarcane SAP

Wave of Happiness Among Farmers Over Hike in Sugarcane Price

 Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-

Farmers across Haryana are overjoyed by the recent decision of CM Nayab Singh Saini to increase the price of sugarcane. Farmers and members of the Kisan Morcha have hailed the decision as a “Diwali gift from the Chief Minister to the farmers,” especially in sugarcane-dominant districts.

Members of the Kisan Morcha and sugarcane farmers have been visiting the Chief Minister’s residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, daily to express their gratitude. They are presenting sugarcane stalks to the Chief Minister as a token of their happiness and appreciation.

It is noteworthy that CM, who himself comes from an agricultural background, has always remained committed to the welfare of farmers. As his government completes one year in office, he has taken a major pro-farmer decision by approving a historic increase of Rs 15 per quintal in the State Advisory Price (SAP) of sugarcane.

Now, the price of the early variety of sugarcane in Haryana has been increased from Rs 400 to Rs 415 per quintal, while the price of the late variety has been raised from Rs 393 to Rs 408 per quintal. This decision will not only help in enhancing farmers’ income but also strengthen the state’s agricultural economy.

On this occasion, members of the Kisan Morcha and a large number of women sugarcane farmers from Kaithal and Karnal districts were present to thank the Chief Minister. Farmers said that this decision has brought new energy and enthusiasm among sugarcane growers across the state.
