An Air India flight, AI-2030, travelling from Frankfurt to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur after a security alert was reported on board. The aircraft landed at Jaipur airport, where security agencies launched a search operation.

Initial reports suggested a possible bomb threat and hijack scare. However, an airport official told Amar Ujala that there was no confirmation of a hijacking so far.

Aircraft Moved to Isolation Bay

After landing at Jaipur airport, the aircraft was moved to an isolation bay, a designated area used for handling security-related incidents. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), local police and bomb disposal squad began inspecting the aircraft.

Security personnel also checked passengers' baggage as part of the precautionary measures. According to preliminary information, all passengers and crew members were safely evacuated from the aircraft.

Flight Diverted as Precautionary Measure

The aircraft was reportedly approaching Indian airspace when the security alert was received. The information was subsequently conveyed to Air Traffic Control (ATC) and the relevant security agencies.

Considering the potential security risk, authorities decided to divert the flight to Jaipur instead of allowing it to proceed to Delhi.

Probe Underway

The exact nature and source of the security alert remain unclear. Officials are investigating the incident to determine what triggered the alert and whether there was any genuine threat to the aircraft.

At the time of reporting, neither Jaipur airport authorities nor Air India had issued an official statement on the incident.
