Gold prices in India’s retail market remained largely unchanged on Saturday, May 2, with no significant fluctuations reported across major cities. Both 24-carat and 22-carat gold rates held steady, reflecting stability in the domestic bullion market.
The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) remained closed due to the weekend, resulting in the absence of live trading data. Based on the previous closing levels, gold prices continue to hover above ₹1.5 lakh per 10 grams, although a slight softening trend has been observed in recent sessions.
According to the latest available rates:
24-carat gold: ₹151,810 per 10 grams
22-carat gold: ₹139,159 per 10 grams
Silver (999 fine): ₹251,170 per kilogram
Market experts suggest that global cues and currency movements will play a key role in determining the next direction for precious metal prices once trading resumes.
