Gold and silver prices witnessed another sharp rise in the bullion market in New Delhi, with gold becoming costlier by ₹1,900 per 10 grams and silver increasing by ₹4,500 per kilogram. The rally comes as a weakening US dollar boosts investor interest in precious metals, while prices of both metals also gain in international markets.
According to the All India Sarafa Association, the price of 99.9% pure gold in the Delhi bullion market increased by ₹1,900 to ₹1,54,400 per 10 grams, inclusive of all taxes. Gold had closed at ₹1,52,500 per 10 grams on Thursday.
Gold prices have risen for the second consecutive trading session. Over the past two sessions, the yellow metal has gained ₹4,600, marking an increase of approximately 3.07%. The market had previously experienced fluctuations in gold prices.
Silver Prices Reach ₹2,28,500 per Kilogram
Silver prices also recorded a significant increase in the national capital. The price of silver rose by ₹4,500 to ₹2,28,500 per kilogram, including all taxes, according to the association.
The increase follows a decline of ₹3,000 per kilogram on Thursday. Silver prices had remained unchanged during the first three trading sessions of the week. Over the past two trading sessions, the metal has gained ₹1,500, representing an increase of around 1%.
