Gold and silver prices declined on Thursday, September 11, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold fell by ₹269 to around ₹1.53 lakh, while silver declined by ₹3,742 per kg to nearly ₹2.30 lakh.
Gold prices have remained volatile throughout 2026. The precious metal has gained around ₹20,000 so far this year. On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold was priced at around ₹1.33 lakh, compared with nearly ₹1.53 lakh currently.
Silver, meanwhile, was priced at around ₹2.30 lakh per kg on December 31, 2025, and is currently also trading near ₹2.30 lakh per kg.
Both metals had touched record highs earlier this year. On January 29, gold reached an all-time high of ₹1.76 lakh per 10 grams, while silver surged to ₹3.86 lakh per kg.
