Punjab Government has taken a significant step towards strengthening the Revenue Department by handing over appointment letters to 33 trained Patwaris. The appointment letters were distributed by Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian during a special ceremony held at Punjab Bhawan.

The newly appointed Patwaris have successfully completed their mandatory 18-month training and will now be posted across various regions of the state to perform their duties on a regular basis.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian congratulated the newly recruited Patwaris and emphasized the importance of prioritizing public service. He stated that the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, warning that strict action would be taken against any employee found involved in corrupt practices.

The minister highlighted that Patwaris serve as the most crucial link between the administration and the public at the village level. Citizens primarily depend on them for land records, mutations, jamabandi entries, and other revenue-related services. Therefore, he said, their responsibility and accountability are of utmost importance.

Mundian urged the newly appointed officials to discharge their duties with honesty, transparency, and sensitivity, ensuring efficient and people-friendly delivery of services across Punjab.
