The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau’s Gurugram team on January 3, 2025, arrested Rajesh Kumar, a Superintending officer posted at the CGO Complex office in Faridabad, Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000.
The accused had demanded a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant in exchange for filing a notice and processing the return for the second phase of the annual survey of service sector industries. A case has been registered against the accused in the Faridabad Anti-Corruption Bureau and he has been arrested. The arrested accused was produced in the court today, January 4. The Honorable Court has ordered that the accused Rajesh Kumar be sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
Sharing more details an official spokesperson said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Gurugram, had received a complaint in this regard. The complainant stated that the accused had issued two notices dated 16.12.2024 and 30.12.2024, requiring the submission of returns for the second phase of the annual survey of service sector industries.
