Haryana government has adopted a stricter policy regarding foreign travel by government employees. Officials and staff working under the state's School Education Department will now face significant restrictions on overseas visits.
According to an order issued by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Panchkula, no applications seeking permission for foreign travel will be forwarded for approval until September 2026. The only exception will be cases involving serious medical treatment, where employees may be granted relief after due consideration.
The directive, issued by Director General of Secondary Education Jitendra Kumar, states that the decision has been taken in compliance with an advisory released by the Haryana Chief Secretary on June 10, 2026.
Following the order, government schools, district education offices, and all institutions functioning under the Education Department have been instructed not to forward any proposals for foreign travel by their employees for approval until the restrictions are lifted. The move reflects the state's stricter administrative approach toward overseas travel by government personnel during the specified period.
