Development and Panchayat Minister flags off delegation of Panipat Sarpanches

Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan to provide new perspective to Haryana’s Panchayats through best practices from other states

Under the guidance of Haryana Development and Panchayat Minister, Krishan Lal Panwar, a delegation of 56 Sarpanches (21 women and 35 men) from district Panipat will undertake a five-day exposure visit to Mathura and Agra, Uttar Pradesh, as part of the Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA). The delegation of Sarpanches was flagged off in Panipat on Thursday by the Development and Panchayat Minister, Sh. Krishan Lal Panwar.

Panwar said that the exposure visit will be held from September 18 to 22 and will be facilitated by Positive Mantra Consulting Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram. Participants will be introduced to various innovative initiatives launched by Gram Panchayats in Mathura and Agra, enabling them to replicate such best practices in the Panchayats of Haryana.

He further said that along with the Sarpanches, 6 women and 6 men officers have also been deputed to officially study the working models. The delegation will gain insights into projects such as plastic waste treatment plants, special hospitals for women, markets for self-help groups, parks with outdoor gyms, Amrit Sarovar initiatives, water supply systems, sewing centers for local women, water tanks, and old-age homes for senior citizens, among others.
